FAMILY

I can not imagine my life without my family. We have a very large family and a very close family. They have all done so much for us and we would not be where we are now if we did not have such a wonderful family to help. They would do anything for us and I hope they know we would the same back. As a parent, I want Iris to know how important family is and how she can put her trust in us and know we will always be there for her no matter what. I want us to eat at the table together every night without the television on. I want to go on family vacations and somewhere different every time we make a trip. I want Iris to bring her Papa ice cream just because she loves him and she knows he likes ice cream. I want us to take a drive in the country and have a little picnic - just because. I hope Iris knows how much her family loves her and how important they are. You can never replace family.

They are like sisters to me and I hope to grow old with them and their children grow old with mine:-) It is hard to talk like we should but I hope they know I will always make time for them! Love ya girls!

May 17, 2009 at 11:31pm our beautiful daughter Iris Marie Terry was born. It was a surprise since my due date was actually suppose to be June 19th. I thought I was going to the hospital for some sleeping medicine since I had not slept in a couple of days. I was exhausted - over exhausted! I didn't know what was going on with my body! We went to the Hospital (doctors orders) and as soon as they hooked my belly up to the monitors for the baby, Iris decelled with the contractions I was having. This meant her heart rate dropped for a long period of time. As soon as that happened, it was like a swat team storming in to put an oxygen mask on me. Long story short, they preformed an emergency c-section on me. Iris was born to the original "American Woman" and weighed in at a whopping 4 pounds! I gave her a kiss then JD went with Iris to the NICU. We were both so scared and worried about her but she was just fine. She was small, but she was strong. She spent 4 days in the NICU then spent the rest of the 3 weeks in the Special Care Nursery. What an exciting and overwhelming time in our lives that is truely a miracle of God!
